Self Portrait 2

I am extremely happy with how this self portrait has turned out. I have experimented with ink mark making and the composition of the entire image. While preparing I decided to play about with poses for this task and believe these were a good fit for this chosen composition. I also decided to change the scale a little so they weren't all the same size. I thoroughly enjoyed working with ink like this and will definitely keep using it.

Life Drawing 4

Figure 1 Primarily this week my focus was to have fun and be more confident in my linework, hence the reason I chose to primarily work with ink. I really like how this page turned out and love the small pop of colour embeded within. Figure 2 With this piece I decided to experiment with colour a little more, this was to mainly show the different posistions the model posed in. I do really like how this turned out and would love to experiment with this technique again to improve these skills. Figure 3 I had alot of fun experimenting with colour on this page. I mainly work with black and white however these pops of colour I did really enjoy and will consider to use this as inspiration for any future piece that I decide to use colour for. The use of pattern was also interesting and fun to input into our drawings. Figure 4 I am so happy with how this final life drawing piece of the semester turned out. I was able to mix the things that I enjoyed together to create what we see here. The pop

Figure 1 Figure 2 I did really enjoy working with Graphics on this brief as it gave us a chance to get to know them more but also witness the way in which they tackle briefs like this. Our conclusion was that they are quite different to us illustrators but that did not mean we could not work together to create the pieces that we made. I would love another opportunity to collab with them again.

Life Drawing 3

Figure 1 This is one of my favourite pieces which I have created during life drawing this semester. The use of various tones and ink really stands out to me, I really like how it all combines together to create the whole image. I will consider using this technique in the future. Figure 2 This is another strong sheet of mine. I really like the entire composition and use of different mediums explored to show tone and detail. To add to this, I really like the use of the triangle and circle to break up the sequence of squares/rectangles. Figure 3 These two drawings I believe do not show my progress well and know I could have done alot better here. I will continue to improve ones like these. Figure 4 This exercise was fun to participate in. Having to use certain shades on certain parts of the view made it a fun challenge. I did enjoy this and I am happy with how they turned out.  Figure 5 Despite some of the figures having really awkward and unproportionate limbs, I am very happy with how t

Screen Prints

Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 Figure 4 Figure 5 This screen printing workshop was very fun to attend and very simple due to my experience with screen printing during college. I really enjoyed experimenting with background patterns and colours. I will always enjoy screen printing and just wish I had the time to experiment with more things; and have the time to create more prints.

Life Drawing 2

Figure 1 This first sheet I am not happy with, as there feels to be a lack of experimentation with mark making techniques. Yet overall, I do believe there is nothing significant about these drawings. Figure 2 I believe this sheet to be better than the first as it shows the journey of the model getting up and rising.I also believe it is evident that I have explored some mark making techniques. I am proud of this one also in the way that at a first glace none of the proportions look massively awkward. Figure 3 I really like this piece, not only for the fact it is in ink but I had fun experimenting with the models outline and adding in minor details to the models silhouette. I believe it could be quite successful as a screenprint and would love to experiment with it in the future. Figure 4 This is my favourite out of the three ink drawings and the one I picked to go forward with to screen print. While making this I felt inspired by traditional Japanese mark making techniques and the entir

Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 Figure 4 Figure 5 Figure 6 Figure 7   I had so much fun taking part in this workshop, it is another one of my favourites. I drew out my desired design as seen in Figure 6 and sparated it into Figure 5 and Figure 7 for the separate colours, which in the end were red and blue retrospectively. This was another task thast enhanced my digital drawing skills which are improving already. The inspiration for this piece is what I imagined the Gryffindoor Common Room to look like, with the animal that I am most refered to sitting on the windowsill. The original idea was to have my character sitting there instead however the small creature seemed the more effective option; to which I am glad I chose to use them. The only complicated thing to take into consideration is the overlapping of the two colours picked, as some places may seem too dark meaning the ink would layer up and not dry. This is a process that I would love to experiment with further in the future and prod
